Effective 23 September 2026
Mindful Repetitions is a habit and repetition tracking app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the app stores, where it is kept, and who can see it.
The short version: your practice stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. The developer never receives it. The app has no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
What the app stores
Everything you enter, including:
- the names of the practices you track, and the groups you organise them into
- your daily counts and their dates
- goals, including their names, targets and deadlines
- dedications — the personal notes or affirmations you attach to a day
- unit labels, colours, themes and other appearance settings
- reminder times and any custom reminder text you write
- optionally, a background image, if you choose one from your photo library
Where it is stored
On your device. All of the above is saved locally on the iPhone or iPad you are using.
In your iCloud account, if iCloud is available. So your practices appear on your other devices, the app syncs through Apple's CloudKit using your private iCloud database. This is your personal iCloud storage. The developer has no access to it and cannot read, export or recover anything stored there. If you sign out of iCloud or disable it, the app continues to work using only local storage.
Data stored on your device may also be included in your regular device backups, which are managed by Apple or by you, not by this app.
What the developer receives through the app
Nothing.
There is no account system, no sign-up, no email collection, and no server operated by the developer. There is no analytics package, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no third-party code that collects information.
The app connects only to Apple services used for iCloud sync and App Store purchases. It does not send your app data to the developer or to third-party services. The developer cannot see your practices, your counts, your notes, how often you use the app, or whether you use it at all.
Support communications
The app sends nothing to the developer, but email is different. If you choose to contact support, Zen Abbondanza LLC and its email provider receive the email address you write from, your message, any attachments, and any technical details you decide to include.
That information is used only to answer your question and investigate the problem. It is not used for marketing, is not sold, and is not shared with anyone else. You can ask for the correspondence to be deleted once it is no longer needed.
This website
This site has no analytics and no advertising cookies, and sets nothing in your browser. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which — like any web server — may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and access logs, under GitHub's own privacy terms.
Photos
If you choose a background image, the app uses Apple's system photo picker. That picker runs outside the app: you select one image, and only that image is handed over. The app has no access to the rest of your photo library and never requests it.
The app keeps two device-local copies of what you chose: a source copy, which may be resized and compressed rather than kept at full original quality, and the cropped copy it displays. The source copy is what lets you re-frame the wallpaper later without going back to your photo library.
Both files stay on that device only. They are not uploaded anywhere and are not synced to your other devices.
Notifications
Practice reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by iOS on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and no notification content leaves your device.
While you have full access, reminders can be managed for one practice or all at once inside the app. Whatever the app allows, you can always switch off every notification from Mindful Repetitions in the iOS Settings app, and that route is never restricted.
Purchases
There are three ways to unlock the app — a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time purchase. Every paid option opens the same features.
Eligible new subscribers may be offered a 14-day free trial on a subscription. Apple determines who is eligible, and the app's purchase screen shows the exact offer and renewal price available to you. Starting a free trial starts an auto-renewable subscription, which renews at the price shown by the App Store unless cancelled before the trial ends. The one-time purchase is separate and carries no trial.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details, card number, or billing address — only the confirmation from Apple that a purchase or subscription exists for your Apple Account, which the app uses to unlock it. Restoring a purchase on another device is handled by Apple in the same way.
If paid access ends, nothing is deleted. You can still view your records, and still export and import backups. Recording, editing, restoring, deleting, reminders and appearance changes require an active subscription or the one-time purchase.
Device identification
To avoid mixing two people's data if a device changes iCloud accounts, the app stores a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) derived from your iCloud account identifier. The identifier itself is never stored, and the hash is never transmitted anywhere — it stays on your device and is used only to notice that the account has changed.
Your data is yours
- Export: at any time you can export your practices, counts, groups, goals, dedications, reminder settings and synced appearance settings as a JSON file. Wallpaper images and device-only preferences are not part of the export. Where the file goes and who sees it is entirely up to you. Export and import are never restricted by payment.
- Delete: deleting a practice moves it to Recently Deleted, where its history is kept for 30 days, after which it becomes eligible for permanent removal.
- Delete from the device: deleting the app removes its local data from that device. This does not by itself remove data already stored in iCloud — if you reinstall while signed in to the same account, synced data can return.
- Delete from iCloud: to remove the app's synced data from your iCloud account, use Apple's iCloud storage controls in the iOS Settings app. Apple controls those screens and the exact steps.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. It has no accounts, no messaging, no user-to-user features, and no advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes.
